Best known for her iconic role as Esther Valentine on the long-running soap opera The Young and the Restless (Y&R), Linder has been a beloved fixture on daytime television for over four decades.

Born in Pasadena, California, Kate Linder has achieved an impressive career milestone, becoming one of the longest-serving actors on an American soap opera, having played the role of Esther Valentine since 1982. Her character began as the maid and confidant to the formidable Katherine Chancellor and has evolved into a fan favorite.

Her dedication and contribution to the entertainment world were recognized in 2008 when she received a well-deserved star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
