The celebration of real beauty returned to the Windy City in unforgettable fashion. On Saturday, October 10, 2026, guests gathered at 320 South Canal Street—the BMO building in downtown Chicago—for an inspiring evening honoring extraordinary individuals whose leadership, perseverance, entrepreneurship, and community service embody the true mission of Beauty In/Beauty Out (BIBO).
Created by Traci S. Campbell and presented by The BIBO Foundation, the BIBO Awards have been recognizing inner and outer beauty alongside community accomplishments since 2013. Having honored more than 130 women across cities like Chicago, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Atlanta, this year’s gala expanded that legacy of celebrating impact that reaches far beyond outward appearance.
An Evening of Inspiration
With NBC 5’s Art Norman serving as the Master of Ceremonies, the evening blended elegance with deep purpose. The centerpiece of the event was the recognition of six remarkable women, each exemplifying resilience, dedication, and service:
-
Tamika Lechee Morales: Founder of the Autism Hero Project
-
Randi Moxi: Children’s book author, speaker, and breast cancer survivor
-
Debra Vines: Founder of The Answer, Inc. (supporting autism and special needs families)
-
Sharon Ringier: Founder of Possible Woman Magazine
-
Alexis Jaya Hutchinson: Advocate for Black authors and Black literature
-
Debbie Pickus: Self-defense trainer and breast cancer survivor
Investing in the Next Generation & A Historic Tribute
The celebration extended beyond immediate achievements to invest in future leaders. The BIBO Foundation awarded its McKnight Grant and Scholarship to two impressive recipients: Nicole Leon, who received the McKnight Entrepreneurial Grant, and Briana Avyn Harris, a Howard University student awarded the McKnight Educational Scholarship.
In a special highlight of the night, the BIBO Foundation named legendary music figure George Daniels (founder of George’s Music Room) as the BIBO Man Of The Year. Throughout his career, Daniels supported and shaped the paths of iconic female artists, including Queen Latifah, Mary J. Blige, Alicia Keys, and Destiny’s Child. His lifelong dedication to music, culture, and community advocacy perfectly captured the spirit of service at the heart of the BIBO mission.
Beyond the Gala
While the awards night brought together community leaders, entrepreneurs, and supporters for a memorable celebration, the work of The BIBO Foundation continues year-round. Beyond the annual ceremony, the organization provides vital community outreach centered on health, wellness, and career and job education for women—helping build positive role models and real empowerment nationwide.
